Menu /Nutrition I regard snack and meal times as a very important part of the day. Eating represents a social time for children and adults and helps children to learn about healthy eating. I provide nutritious food at all meals avoiding large quantities of fat, sugar, salt, artificial additives, preservatives and colourings. My aim is to provide children with a healthy, balanced and tasty diet using a variety of colours, textures, tastes and also foods from different cultures. I aim to meet the full requirements of Ofsted’s care standards on food and drink (standard 8). I am willing to puree food for babies but bottles must be provided from home, if your child has any dietary needs this can be discussed and catered for. Parents will be advised if I have any concerns about children’s eating habits and I will work with parents to supply food that the child likes. Depending on what time of day your child arrives and if it has been agreed that I provide meals for your child, I can provide Breakfast, Dinner and Tea, with snacks in between. Breakfast 8:00 am Morning Snack 10.30 am Dinner 12:30 - 1.30 pm Afternoon Snack 3.15 pm Evening Meal 5.00 - 6.00 pm All children are provided with milk, water or sugar free fruit juice to drink freely throughout the day.
